  1. >S< I'm going to make a couple of statements here and you can take it for what it's worth. I have done a bit of research and found the following statement is exactly correct. Knights of the Air server does not use GPS and not only does it make you use your noodle to fly around and complete missions it also means engagements with enemy aircraft are spread out over the area. You have to know how to read a map in order to get to an area quickly. It also takes a skill to fly back to a field when your done with the mission. For this reason there is not always a lot of enemy action. Wings of Liberty has GPS on and if you're wondering how a single enemy turns into 8 enemy aircraft in a short amount of time, all you need to do is watch a couple of track view files and you'll get your answer the same as I have mine. You see an enemy aircraft or you're bounced by a crappy enemy pilot that can't shoot straight. After the initial they put the wings in the vertical and the stick in their chest and call on TS to the other 30 Allied fliers where they are. Allied pilots then all close on the area where they find 1 Allied flier turning tight circles descending to the deck with an Axis pilot or two trying to get lined on him. Conclusion: Our tactics are not made to work on a gang-bang server like Wings. There is no skill needed to fly and call friendly aircraft to you in Wings. Our tactics work in Knights of the Air because there is skill involved knowing where you are by map reading and coordinating efforts. When TAW starts back up then we will be flying there. There is no GPS in TAW. End thoughts: If you are going to fly in Wings don't bitch about being gang-banged and killed, I don't want to hear it. I don't care if you're the only one flying in KotA there is something to do that requires skill. If you want to fly with me then you need to fly the KotA server. Don't ask me to be GPS stupid. I'll be more than happy to work with everyone who wants to learn navigation below and above heavy clouds. I flew with Moostafa, Big10, C5, and MoGas. I flew above the clouds (no ground visuals available) and came back through the clouds to the target area and was within visual range of those flying under the clouds near the target. If they had been intercepted by enemy air I would have been the only pilot to be able to put bombs on target. It's an easy feat but it's a skill that must be learned and practiced. Know from now on don't ask what server I'm on unless the TAW and KotA servers are up at the same time. I'll be on KotA even if I'm the only one there and 70 are on wings server. >S<

    Squad night and weekend

    >S< I am not going to be here this Sunday but I would like for our squad to use the Knights of the Air server. I have made a post in their forums asking for anyone to join us to fly with or against us. Also I will definitely be around all day Saturday if anyone needs to learn navigation or just want to get in some flight time. I could possibly be around for Friday night flights but won't know until noon Friday. Thank you, that is all >S<

  4. From the forums of TAW. TAW made a statement next server probably in june. Q: Is there any specific reason for the long period between campaigns? A: Yes, additional time is needed to fix bugs, add new functions, planes, objects etc.

    How much fun can you have in four minutes?

    I mis-labeled the Hs-129 as an HE129. And it is a lot of fun once you realize you're not going to blow up the engines easily.Ran it between 75-80% during normal flight and fire walled it during combat with no ill effects. With flaps at 40% during a dogfight you can turn and roll like a fighter...kinda. In the video Moostafa was in a rolling scissor with a Yak and held his own. It's on sale through IL2 and steam. A great little diversion when you get angry. >S<

  17. Well here's the answer in a short 15 minute presentation covering Cold Start Takeoff (My way) Ariel Gunnery (My way) and Landing (My way) What you need to know is your key-mapped keys. Default keys are used with the exception of radiator controls, also during flap control which is not default mapped for me. You will need to know your setup for engine coolant radiator for BF110, Oil coolant radiator for BF110, Flaps up, and Flaps down Keyboard 1 (Engine one selection), Keyboard 2 (Engine two selection), Keyboard 0 (Tied engine selection), Keyboard E (engine start default) The basic idea is to let the engines breathe after they start. Let them get fuel into them by following the procedures within. So if you have any questions after the video please ask away.

    I prefer to be the holdout. I do enjoy checking in from time to time though. Glad you got it figured out Moostafah (Codename: T-deuce). I miss the camaraderie but really don't have the time to put the HOTAS back together and get in the air. Six days a week 13 hour days and working on the heart issues is still getting to the point of stupidity.I am having problems getting my blood INR levels to acceptable parameters one month it's perfect the next month it's twice the acceptable limits then normal then slightly above then way out again. The Doctors have said if we can't get it under control then I could be making another stint in the hospital. The only thing keeping me out now is I just had my yearly ECHOGRAM and the heart is pushing a 60% rate which is higher than last year at 55%. The Blood pressure is 96/54 as the Doctor says "a little low but good". Heart rate resting is 54 and respiration are at 12. The weight is going everywhere one month it's 360 the next it's 380. the lowest was 346 but since I returned to work it's been out of whack. Now Hunting season is upon me and I bought a crossbow and a new rifle. The crossbow I bought because I was tired of pulling 80# draw to shoot deer with phone poles (2513 @33 inches for those that wonder). Gave the stroked (36 inch draw for real) to the nephew and detuned and destroked it for him to use because he wants to try bowhunting. I bought a Bear Karnage and I'm pretty satisfied with it just need to get a crank for it or learn how to cock and latch every time I try to set it. I have about a 30% latch rate right now and it's a pain in the ass. And I was using my Dad's Vangaurd VGX .300 win Mag for hunting and after my Dad had a stroke my sister went and sold all the guns the old man had because she doesn't like guns. So a rifle that my dad gave me (still registered to him) and I put over $500.00 worth of work and accessories into/onto it, she sold for $250.00. Yeah I was just a bit upset about it. I went out and bought a Savage 110 Trophy XP .300WinMag for myself. I sent it over to a local gunsmith store for a Muzzle Brake and won't have it back in time to rifle hunt this year but at least it won't kick my ass next year. And during the summer I have been out riding trails in Northern Michigan. So that's it for now. I'll post some antlers if I get one. A short and long ride video
